BCOE Match Challenge

The BCOE Match Challenge is our primary fundraiser for the 2026–2027 School Year. Through 7 November, our partners at Triad Magnetics will match 100% of your donation, up to $1000.

About us

The Highlander Space Program is UC Riverside's flagship Registered Student Organization for rocketry. HSP flew UCR's first ever liquid fueled rocket, Poseidon, to a first-place finish in the “A” Altitude Category in 2025 FAR-OUT Competition. Our current project, Clementine, will carry us higher and faster than ever before.

Poseidon

2022 – 2025

UC Riverside’s first liquid propelled rocket.

Developed between 2023 and 2025, Poseidon flew to a first-place finish in the A Category of 2025’s FAR-OUT Competition. Powered by Nitrous Oxide and Ethanol, Poseidon reached an apogee of 7,350 feet AGL.

Clementine

2025 – 2027

Next gen engine performance, controls, and recovery systems.

Clementine is a regeneratively cooled, Liquid Oxygen/Ethanol powered engine that represents the future of Highlander Space Program. Targeted for launch in 2027, Clementine is the most ambitious vehicle in HSP history.
